To determine the correct dimensions, it's important to maintain the proportions of your logo. Start with either the width or the height, depending on the available space on your final surface (e.g. vehicle, window, packaging).
Step 1: Check your logo’s original dimensions
Open your file in a design tool (like Illustrator, Figma, InDesign, Photoshop…) or a PDF viewer. Take note of the width and height – these values define the proportions of your logo and are key to scaling it correctly.
Step 2: Measure the available space on your surface
If you need specific dimensions, measure the width or height of the area where the sticker will be applied. Then scale your logo proportionally. You can use one of two methods:
2.1 Quick method (no calculation)
In Illustrator, Figma or InDesign:
- Select your logo
- Lock the proportions
- Enter your desired width or height → the other adjusts automatically
2.2 Universal method (with a quick calculation)
If you know the target width or height, you can calculate the other dimension as follows:
Finale height = (Original height ÷ Original width) × Target width
Example:
Your logo is originally 25 cm wide and 10 cm tall
You want a max width of 10 cm
10 ÷ 25 = 0,4
0,4 × 10 = 4 cm
The final height will be 4 cm
💡 Good to know
- Never manually change width and height independently – it will distort the logo
- Always measure directly on the actual object (label, packaging, fabric…)
